Guru Parampara Protects all Who Distributing Books
I was told by my senior devotees to not come for book distribution on stalls but rather concentrate on a very important exam NET test which I was to appear. As book distribution was happening so much around me in my bace, it was quite difficult to resist, But I had to also pass this exam as by doing so, it would boost our preaching at University. I decided not to go. However as I had to everyday go to santacruz university to study and also give exams, I decided to use my time on the way for doing some book distribution.
I would travel in local train. I thought I should do atleast 1 book a day. So I would enter my train and make an announcement that I wasn’t a salesman but a teacher upgrading my course and appearing for the important NET test. And that as teacher I recommend people read Gita and that If they don’t have a Gita, they can buy one from me. Strategy worked and I would be able to distribute everyday atleast one Gita. On 20th December, however I couldn’t do even 1 Gita. I prayed. I got down from train and was walking to the Bace where I stay. Only 1 thing rang in my head. One book a day. I should do it. Not give up. I almost reached the Bace.
I saw 2 taxi drivers chit chatting. I took the opportinuty and showed them the books. They were not interested. They kept talking. I kept showing. They got irritated. I told them atleast see the 12 book. They took it in hand. Quickly I showed them the beautiful pictures in the gita. I told them about the topic ‐ who am i? One of the driver said that oh this books are scientific and not some blind faith. He said my brother likes to read and is interested. So I will take for him. My realization is that when I am distributing books, all my distractions goes away. The only thing is to whom give books. My mind had some useful task and I came to know that the entire guruparampara protects you on book distribution. Therefore there was no distraction. This realization of protection became solid when one of our bace devotee shared this incident with me. This devotee narrates “One day as I went about distributing books on my way,
I approached a lady. The lady started showing interest in books. As I was explaining her, she came too close to me. I kept on preaching to her. Soon to realise something fishy was on. I could now sense that she wasn’t a good character lady. So I just boldly told her that it was useless attempt and that it would nice if she would rethink and become better. I left that place undisturbed and went on my usual book distribution. As I reflect later, I could see how Guru Parampara protects all who distributing books.”
