Krishna will be there

Beyond Birth and Death

Hare Krishna. Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

After the dust settled after the Lollapalooza concert I moved north to Wisconsin. I visited my friend Bhagavan Acarya. It's alway's nice visiting him because all I hear out of his mouth are stories from Radha Damodara TSKP and Srila Prabhupada etc. He told me he was in Atlanta in 1975 with Radha Damodara when they all got to go upstairs and have a personal Darshan with Srila Prabhupada. He said that even though he wasn't sure if he was allowed he touched Srila Prabhupada's lotus feet! What mercy.

I had to get ready to go to a concert nearby, so Bhagavan Acarya prabhu gave me his cherished box of Vishnujana swami tapes to copy. In the next few months I will digitize them and make them available to the devotees. There is some serious nectar in there. If any devotees out there have any rare Vishnujana tapes, especially the Jailhouse rock kirtana where Vishunujan chanted over the intercom system in a prison and rocked the Jailhouse into spiritual ecstasy please send me a copy. I'll send you a Cd in return. Remastered and preserved for future generations.

After I left Bhagavan Acarya's place I went to a two day concert. It was the Dave Matthews band. A lot of young people go there to see him. It was very nice. One man I gave a Beyond Birth and death to said that this book pretty much sums up everything. Birth and Death, whatever is beyond must be good so he took one. I also ran into a group of Kids who were from my home town and had gone to the same school as me. They were so excited they all gave me a high five and got books. All in all over two days more than a hundred books went out. It was very sweet. On the way home though my motor home started running poorly. I didn't know what it was. It was putting and low on power. At this point my emergency savings are depleted, so i'm in a little anxiety when car trouble comes because I don't want to be stranded on the road with no money. Krishna has helped me so far though. Once a few years ago my alternator went out and I had to park the RV on the street and distribute books for a few weeks in parking lots and streets in the cold until I could pay for the repairs. The police were threatening to tow my vehicle. It's difficult at times, but Sankirtana is so sweet because it forces you to depend fully on Krishna. I haven't found a service that is as powerful as Sankirtana. Param Vjayate Sri Krishna Sankirtanam.

I got back to Madison after the concert around 11:30 pm. I parked in front of my friends house since there is no temple in Madison. Around 1 am the police asked me to come out. Someone had called them. Luckily the police were nice and let me go back to bed. The next day I checked out some mechanics and they couldn't fit me in until the next week. My friends Dad took a look at my engine and all it was was a wire that had a hole in it from rubbing against the exaust manifold. The electricity was going into the metal and not into the engine so the engine was running on 3 cylinders instead of four. Since we got it fixed easily I was relieved. Krishna is always helping. One devotee who has been reading these stories also sent me a few boxes of books so that helps. If anyone wants to donate to this Travelling Sankirtana party you can contact me at:devakinandanadasa@gmail.com Especially donations of books. If you can't go out yourself I'll distribute them for you and in that way benedict everyone with Krishna's mercy in the Form of Srila Prabhupada's books.

I have to go and get back out on Sankirtana. Thank you for listening.

Your Servant,

Devaki Nandana Dasa
