Bhakta Rajeev Pandit Prabhu, a brahmachari trainee at ISKCON Chowpatty is visiting Villages around Kolhapur (maharashtra) along with 6 more of his batch mates.
Here are his 2 good experiences.
1) BARGAINING ON BHAGAVAD GITA DISCOUNT ON DISCOUNT
Travelling in villages, you may come across such people many times, who will ask for a reduced rate on an already discounted gita. Patiently answering them with logic about the print quality and one time investment in ones life, Rajeev Prabhu could convince many to buy the gita at the quoted rate. One such afternoon, Rajeev Prabhu was unsuccessful in convincing many villagers with his usual logic and received a rejection from them in a row. No one had brought from him a gita for quite some time all with the reason ” pls reduce the price”.
Hoping good sales, Rajeev Prabhu now enters a 4 storey Govt office complex. The first man he meets is a Govt officer with decent clothing and good post ( reading on his name plate on his office desk). Speaking in hindi , Rajeev Prabhu surprises him with ” Saheb , i have got this bhagavad gita for you, we are offering gita discount rate only 80 rs just this month… every house today has TV but not every house has a Gita.” Saheb is impressed seeing a dynamic city young man distributing BG in villages. OUt comes the same answer ” Oh i will take if u give me in 50 rs” says the saheb.
Frustrated , Rajeev Prabhu , howvever now inspired by Supersoul speaks in hindi ” Aarey saheb , bhagavan ko to mat luto , Bhagavan se lena nahi chahiye balki dena chahaiye” {in english it means Oh govt officer atleast do not take money or loot money from God…it will be nice instead u give a donation to god} shocked , saheb realising his mistake and being exposed by a sadhu quickly hands him 100 rs…. telling Rajeev Prabhu keep the remainder 30 rs as a donation from me to God.
Saheb is impressed and equally is rajeev How i spoke right words that the deal was done with a nice smile.

2) Asst commissioner of Police takes part in book distribution Rajeev Prabhu takes his chance he has today entered into a Police station head office to distribute Prabhupada’s mercy to Police men. he enters straight into ACP cabin…. No one stops him as there is a lot of commotion already in ACP cabin…. A huge line of Visitors lined up in front of his table for their pleas and submissions to be signed .
Rajeev Prabhu directly goes and stands close to ACP…ACP sees him surprised while still signing papers. Rajeev Prabhu informs him that he has got nice book for him. ACP without even seeing him tells him to continue waiting. patiently waiting 15 mts, Rajeev Prabhu now slips out of the ACP cabin to meet other people in the Police station hoping to catch the ACP later.
In 30 mts Rajeev Prabhu has distributed around 5 Maha big books to havaldars and People inside the police station. He decides to again try his luck with ACP. Charging quick with confidence , Rajeev Prabhu stands once again next to ACP…ACP has a quick look at him… Rajeev Prabhu says ” Sir, so many people have brought books in your police station except you”. ACP taken aback tells him ” OK , in 10 mts i have an important meeting in the board room . meet me there”.
10 mts later Rajeev Prabhu is in the board room sitting with the ACP. Rajeev Prabhu shows him 1st canto Srimad Bhagavtam ” sir, this is a special book meant for rajrishis saint among king or king among kings… i have kept this copy for you”. with this words Rajeev Prabhu has won the ACP’s heart. quickly going thru the book, ACP decides to buy the book. Meanwhile slowly slowly one by one all important police inspectors start gathering in the board room for the meeting.
Surprising even Rajeev Prabhu, ACP announces to all the assembled police men, ”you should all take books from this nice boy… and i will pay for all of you”. in 10 mts Rajeev Prabhu runs back and forth to the temple van collecting books showing them to each policemen… and in 15 mts : the deal is done . 15 mahabig books distributed on behalf of king of kings ACP.
