Svayambhuva Prabhu is coming from an Indian background, from Gujarat. He is an initiated disciple of His Holiness Hridayananda das Goswami. The initiation took place over 15 years ago, maybe even 20 years ago. He has been a resident at the New Dvaraka community for about 10 years. Prior to that he lived in Panama. Although he has a full time job, he helps Rabindranatha Prabhu (the head pujari in New Dvaraka) with Deity worship and he is the main assistant of Nirantara Prabhu (the Nama Hatta and Life Membership office director).
Few weeks ago he went to visit his daughter in Oklahoma. She and her husband own a motel in Henryetta, Oklahoma. Being very pious people they allowed a Christian group to place a Bible in each room of their motel. When Svayambhuva Prabhu saw Bibles in the rooms, one in each room sitting on the nightstands, he felt inspired and immediately told his daughter that he would arrange Bhagavad-gitas for her motel rooms. Now in all of the 45 rooms of the motel next to the Bibles there are the Bhagavad-gitas, so the visitors may have a choice.
