Jaded Students
Sastra-krit and several devotees hold Bhakti-Yoga Club meetings for students at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. During the Srila Prabhupada Marathon, the club members decided to distribute Prabhupada's mercy to other students, so they brought five cases of Bhagavad-Gitas to the center of the campus, where they were surprised to find thousands of students in queue, awaiting puppies. Because of the stress of taking final exams, the school was expecting a delivery of puppies for the students to pet as a means of relieving their stress.
This turned into a good opportunity to distribute all the books. The students were informed: "Petting puppies will temporarily relieve stress, but if you read this book, you will learn some permanent solutions to stress."
(As told in a class by Sastra-krit)
