Everyone are looking for Something Which Will Make Them Happy and Peaceful
Mataji with her daughter approached an elderly man to take a Gita. He told her that he is not interested but may take just to help us, although uncertainity loomed in his head. Guessing some sadness , Mataji spontaneously told him that she will pray that all auspiciousness set in his life soon. The moment he heard that he was taken aback and immediately took the Gita seeing the sincere way she expressed it.
Next day, the man again came with her young daughter who was a widow and made her take a Krishna book. The third day he came again and told this mataji since he has met her, he has been feeling some positive vibes in his life and he poured out his sad heart to the mataji. He was sad for his young daughter becoming widow at such an early age and somehow wanted to make her feel good. On fourthday, he came to our Vashi Gita Satsang Program and was enlivened attending it.
He told one of the members there that he would like some kirtan to be kept in his house to which the devotee obliged enthusiastically. We pray that his life and his daughter's life changes for good by reading Srila Prabhupada's books.
What the Book Distribution team learnt:
A. people are looking for something which will make them happy and peaceful but they do not know what that something is until they get Srila Prabhupada's books.
B. Book Distribution is not just about selling books but it is also about connecting with people sincerely and feel for them.
C. Sincerity of wish attracts people heart.
