Ukraine’s New Sankirtana Bus
Recently, I received this letter from Acyuta Priya Prabhu, Ukraine's Regional Secretary:
Dear Vijaya Prabhu and all the dear devotees who supported the new bus,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada and his sankirtana mission!
I'm happy to inform you that by your merciful efforts we got a sankirtana bus. It is a brand new Tata bus, very convenient for sankirtana.
The brahmacaris just returned from their first sankirtana tour in the new bus. It was such a happy event for all of them. They did harinama in 41 cities and distributed 5,060 books in two weeks, despite the quite uneasy times for Ukraine nowadays.
What was the most important realization for them was the team spirit: they all can travel together, have a nice transcendental adventure, and live a simple life absorbed in harinama and book distribution.
Thanks to all the devotees by whose support this plan turned into reality.
Please see the attached photos.
On behalf of the Ukraine yatra,
Your humble servant,
Acyuta Priya Dasa
This is the result of many devotees from around the world who desired to help the sankirtana devotees in Ukraine. As you all know, Srila Prabhupada said, “Your love for me will be shown by how you cooperate with one another after I leave.” Helping the sankirtana movement is a sure way to show our love for Prabhupada. I want to thank all of the devotees who helped raise $17,000 for the bus. The devotees in Ukraine already had $7,000, but they needed $22,000. Bhaktivedata Manor donated $5,000, and the rest was donated by many of you who receive the BDN. It's a new bus, which cost $29,000. Prabhupada wanted us to get new vehicles, as they're easier to maintain. Practically all of the devotees who donated want to be anonymous out of humility, yet Krsna knows who's helping, and He appreciates it. This is about the thirteenth sankirtana vehicle we've helped purchase, and the second bus. Pictures of the bus and the sankirtana devotees are attached.
