Krishna never forgets
Hare Krsna,
Recently, I was in Hellensville NZ with books and stopped a lady and passed her a Bhagavad-gita.
“Oh,” she asked, “is this Hare Krishna?”
She explained that before she met her husband, he had been a devotee and then left his devotional service. Lately he had become depressed, and she saw him in the garage searching through boxes for one of his old books about Krishna. He had been disappointed not to find any. So she had come to town to buy him a gift to cheer him up, as he had not gotten off the couch all week, and she wanted to inspire him.
“I think I have found just the thing,” she said and gave me a nice donation.
How amazing it is that Krishna never forgets one's devotional service, even if one leaves the path. When one wants to turn to Krishna again, even in just a few moments of hopelessness, He can arrange for one's coming in contact with Him in some form.
Srila Prabhupada, ki jaya!
Your servant,
Bhava-sandhi Dasi
