Paris a God-given hope makes a woman cry

Two days ago, I saw that we had an old version of Bhagavad-gita in Arabic in the bookroom. So today I decided that I would try to distribute it. Just before leaving the temple I almost forgot it, but I finally
remembered to take it. During the whole time on book distribution I had this heavy Bhagavad-gita under my arm. I decided that I would give it to someone who gives me ten dollars for a small Arabic book.

Maybe after one or two hours of distributing books, an Arabic lady came to see the books I was distributing. I showed her the Arabic version of “Perfect Questions, Perfect Answers”. I explained to her that the spiritual master who wrote this book will help her understand better what is actual religion and that it will help her to develop her love for God.

She was very happy with what I said, and I asked her whether she could make a small donation. And she gave ten dolalrs! I immediately took the old Bhagavad-gita and I told her, “Please take this book also.”

At first, she did not want it. Then I told her, “For the love of God, please take this book. By reading it, you will be happy all your life.”

The whole conversation we had was in Arabic. And at this very moment, she started to cry.

I asked her, “Are you crying because you are facing the sun, and it is painful for your eyes? If you want we can move a little bit.”

She told me no. So I asked her : “Did I say something wrong? Please forgive me if it’s the case.”

And she replied, “No. I am crying because I am living a moment in my life with a lot of difficulties, and I know that God sent you here to meet me so I can get this book.”

I was just amazed by what I heard.

I gave her the address of our temple in Sarcelles, and she left with a huge smile on her face.

Hare Krishna!
