Finding a quick fix on sankirtana
We were returning to the Ljubljana temple from a harinam-sankirtan tour in the Slovenian mountains, and we took the shortest route back through Italy.
Driving down through the mountains, a red lamp activated on the dashboard of our van. We stopped within a few kilometers in the closest village. A pipe from the water cooling system had broken down and all the water spilled out. This was a very serious problem. If this was not fixed the engine will overheat and be permanently damaged.
One devotee went to look for help, something to patch the pipe.
The neighbours told us that there was a car mechanic living fifty meters away from where we had stopped. We went to the mechanic, and he had the damaged part and just exchanged it. The neighbours got some books, and the mechanic got some prasada. (We didn’t have any Italian books, and he did not speak English.) Within an hour we were going back towards Ljubljana.
We were just thinking: What are the odds of finding a car mechanic on a mountain road who can fix the cooling system within an hour? Clearly Krishna arranged it, and clearly Krishna protects the sankirtan mission.
