San Jose, CA Weekend Warrior 2007 Marathon Results
Dandavats,
I received a report of the results of the San Jose, California USA Weekend Warriors 2007 Prabhupada Marathon. The results are amazing. This shows what can be accomplished in all the temples of North America. I hope the devotees in San Jose forgive me for making this public.
One of the qualities of a Vaisnava is that they don't want praise for the service they render for the pleasure of Sri Guru and Sri Gauranga. But, this report is very inspiring and I hope it will motivate others to take up book distribution.
Dear Devotees,
Pamho, agtSP
The Monthly Sankirtana Festival (MSF) for December 2007, which started a week before Thanks giving and ended on Christmas Day, turned out to be a record-breaking Marathon.
During this six-week period, ISV devotees distributed tons of Srila Prabhupada's books & CDs, Children's books & CDs, as well as Prasadam (cookies) at every opportunity that presented itself. This included two weekends of massive sankirtana at various spots in the Bay are (Nov.30-Dec.2 & Dec. 14-16), book distribution on World Enlightenment Day (observed Dec. 15th) and Gita distribution for Gita Jayanti Day (observed Dec. 20th).
This week all the scores from this December marathon were compiled and the results were offered last night to Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakura on his divine disappearance day. The Final results from the December Sankirtana Marathon can be summarized as follows:
