A new method in Pune for distributing full sets

While out on the street distributing books in Pune, India, I met a young couple. The girl was interested in the pocket-size Bhagavad gita.

The boy said, “We’ll take one later."

The girl said that she had the bigger version and wanted to have the small version. So he took out a 1000-rupee note and asked me to give him 850 rupees back. I did, and thanked them.

What I learned is that is always good to have sufficient change and not to be casual to or neglect anybody, as people still respect the Gita.

Also, last week we prepared a bookshelf containing the English Bhagavatam set, the Caitanya-caritamrta set and the Lilamrta set and offered it to guests, the shelf included. One gentleman happily took all three sets and received the nice bookshelf as a bonus for getting the books. If nice shelfs are displayed with the books at large gatherings, then some fortunate souls may find it to be an attractive offer. We announced this offer after the Sunday feast program, and that sincere soul then took the opportunity.
