Srila Prabhupada and his book

I always get inspired by Prabhu's memory..

I tried again last December to distribute books in Japan.. I don't know if it could be deemed a marathon, but I did get out a few times.

In Japan the people are the most receptive while out in the "nomiya" (drinking market).

I chose one where the richest people in OSAKA hang out.. For instance there is a necktie shop where the cheapest ones are 150 dollars. The parking lot is full of Hummers, Ferraris, Maseratis, and Mercedes.

But I did have some sweet experiences.. Most people did not seem to even see me, but some did.

One man was a great fan of George Harrison. He had so many questions. He drew a sanskrit OM and asked what it was. He was asking "what is Jay Krsna" and a lot of other things.. He made my day, and bought 3 books.

One club owner took a book (a big surprise) and said "Oh KRSNA KYO(religion). He siad he had books and sent one girl to get 50 dollars.

Another fellow, a greeter for one of the clubs, told me that he had the books and liked them very much. He later stopped me to get another book.

One girl that works somewhere out there came to tell me the she had books and really liked them.

Another restaurant owner came out with most of his female staff. He said he had the books and really liked them.. He gave a donation and then got another book..

Of course there were others who just mysteriously take books and give donations, or give donations and then take books..

Although of what I was thinking was, as my dear god brother Sacinandana Swami once said in a class, "not suitable for publication", still Lord Nityananda was kind enough to let a few lost souls get the mercy of Srila Prabhupada..

Day by day I saw that the more we are seenl, the more receptive the public becomes..

I pray that a big army of devotees will go our regularly.

Your servant,
Kavicandra Swami
