Arabian night book distribution
As part of the marathon season, devotees went *door2door* for a couple of weeks to distribute books. Today was a special and historic day for the Toronto Sankirtan Warriors.
We visited an apartment at Kipling & Finch last week, where there were many Arabic-speaking members of a household who did not understand English. Unfortunately, we did not carry any Arabic books. So this week we packed Arabic books, but only to run out of them within a couple of hours. Devotees met many Arabic speaking families who generously donated laxmi and showed interest. The moment we showed them an Arabic title, they were inquisitive and happy.
Since we ran out of books, Radha-Mohan Dasa agreed to drive all the way back to the temple to bring more Arabic books. This made a huge difference in today's book score.
Our score (drumroll!) for "our Arabian night," which included over fifteen devotees out for more than nine hours, was more than two hundred books, of which seventy-two were Arabic books. This was the first time in Toronto we distributed that many Arabic books in a single day.
Mahabhagavat Dasa, who went out on the street by himself also ran out of books today at Queen and Bay. Special marathon mercy flowing everywhere!
After a super-ecstatic weekend, along with this great score and by the efforts of so many devotees, we surpassed our goal for the number of books distributed!
Your servant,
Anjan
