At Pierce College (Los Angeles). meeting the President
I went to Pierce College with Brghupati Prabhu. Some twenty thousands students attend this two-year college.
A nicely dressed gentleman was exiting a building. I asked him whether he is a professor.
He said “I’m the president of the college.”
I gave him a Journey of Self Discovery and asked his name.
“Lawrence Buckley.”
He saw our book table and looked with amazement and appreciation at the Bhagavad Gita.
“Is that the Bhagavad-gita?”
I gave him a Gita, too.
He said “I appreciate that you’re here at the college, sharing this important wisdom.”
I invited him to visit the temple, and he happily accepted the invitation card. It was quite nice to meet a college president who expressed appreciation for Srila Prabhupada’s books.
