Bio of George
Dear Book Distribution Seminar,
Please accept my humble obeisances! All glories to Srila Prabhupada!
The following story took place some time back but it can maybe still be used
The day was Saturday and we were on the Plaza in Kansas City. As we approached one group of men the thought came to mind that they were riding some bus. Mostly because of the badges they had dangling around there necks and this is common for public transport bus riders in the U.S. to have there bus badges around thier necks. After asking them if they were riding or driving the bus, they replied riding and then the real identity was revealed!
What wa thought was a offical bus pass for the City turned out to be the all access passes they wear for they were the roadhands for Boy George and Club. After relating to them the mental intention to make it to the concert with intent to give Boy George the Lord's mercy; they reiterated that that would be nice said to ask for them when we arrived at the theater. But Saturday is Maha-Harinam night in KC and that would have priority, so off they went with Dharma, The way of Transendence.
After the encounter the temple was contacted and the discussion which ensued had many facets and the harinam party went to the theater for a prime showing of entertainment. We brought prasadam for Boy George and after extensive searching the package finally left our hands for his hands through a via medium of one of his associates. As the Harinam Party enacted the loving pastimes of the Lord and His devotees the word came that Boy George would like for us to come in to the theater for a little chanting in there!
We made entry and in the doorway we stood for a few minutes warming up to the upcoming event of riping through the theater. As the Lord's holy names were chanted uo and down the aisles and in the middle of the center stage floor; floods of hoots and hollars came ringing from the audience above us. Having this oppurtunity before the bands played was great and afterwards the persons who were there said that the chanting was better then the opening act.
We were told to come backstage after the performance but much to the well whatever it was we did get to see Boy George and he got to see us but not much interaction went on between the two sides. So on with the story many good contacts were made and if there is any more chances like that may we take advantage of them. Harinam KI JAYA!
