Book Distribution in Book Fair, Surat(India)
Hare Krsna, all glories to Srila Prabhupada,
In the first week of February'08, a book fair was held in Surat, where we congregational devotees also put a book stall of books of Srila Prabhupada. It is really rejoicing to say that in the 80 hours that the fair lasted, we were able to sell approximately 4000 books, that is every 1.20 minutes we sold one of Srila Prabhupada's books. That was all possible due to the grace of Srila Prabhupada and the Vaishnava acharyas.
Two months back in the BG marathon we received some Bhagavad Gita's as donations. So during this fair we kept a scheme that whoever buys a set of books of Srila Prabhupada wil get a Bhagavad Gita for free, so instead of distributing free donation Bhagavad Gita, we gave them as a gift to whomever bought a set. The rush of people was so much that we couldn't preach to them. Its really a wonderful idea to keep a stall in the book fair. If it is organised in any city where there are devotees it is a good opportunity to sell Srila Prabhupada books in a short period of time and to so many people.
