Book Distribution on Janmastami
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!
As usualy this year Janmastami festival in Lithuania was held in camp near Vilnius. More then 200 devotees from Lithuania participated and HH Bhakti Vikasa Swami was the main guest. After big kirtan and long lecture about the reasons why did the Lord comes (based on BG 4.9), Maharaja mentioned about the importance of studying the Lords pastimes, reading Srila Prabhupada books, etc.
"It isn't enough to have one set of Srila Prabhupada books at your home,- said he at the end of lecture.- You should have a set, or at least main books, like Gita, Krishna book for each member of your family. And also you must have some books available if your friend comes, then you can present them to him. So today is very auspicious day, today we have special prices for the books and please, be mercifull to me, take some books and bring home or give to somebody, who can't participate in our festival, and in this way make them happy also."
In this way almost 70 big hardbound books there distributed. One very important point – most of the devotees, who took books, now aren't distributing books, so Maharaja engaged them again in BD, again engaged them in future preaching mission. And we all know, that benefit they will get from it.
