Childen in Auckland demand books
Recently, I've been meeting many nice children in Auckland. Often when I stop a parent and child, the parent has little interest and is about to end the exchange, but the child intervenes by grabbing the book. Some children are attracted to Srila Prabhupada's books. It's extraordinary to see. The children then refuse to return the book. In a mood of determination and gravity (rarely seen in children so young), they clearly convey their conviction: taking the book is the most important thing to them. In this way, they exert such overwhelming pressure that the parent is forced to give a donation. On securing the book, the children become completely ecstatic. Thereafter the parents also become happy, seeing their child's pleasure. Often parents remark: “Usually my child doesn't even like books. There must be a reason why he is so attached to this one, so I'll buy it for him.” We understand that the demigods are queuing up to take birth in Kali-yuga in order to receive Lord Caitanya's mercy and go back to Godhead. It seems we are meeting them. Or else we are meeting persons who have done some percentage of devotional service in their previous life.
