Christian student accepts a Bhagavad-gita

Bhagavad Gita

I was distributing flyers for an upcoming event in Perth, when two young men approached me and asked me what I was doing. I told them about the event and mentioned that I am a student of Bhagavad-gita. One man, Rabindra, is from Nepal and is studying the teachings of the Bible in a university. His desire is to study it himself so that he can share the teachings, and love of God, with others. He asked me what points struck me the most in Bhagavad-gita, and I mentioned that knowledge of the soul and karma were the most significant lessons for me when I started my Krishna consciousness five years ago. As I elaborated further on the teachings of Bhagavad-gita, he was happy to find some similarities with the teachings of Bible. I showed him a copy and asked whether he would like to read it. He was positive and gave a donation double of what I had requested. Thanking him and Krishna for this encounter, I continued with my service with enhanced motivation. May Srila Prabhupada help him become a genuine servant of God!
