Cultivating your area
I visited a shop some years ago in NZ. At that time, a lady attendant informed me that she had a male friend who, in a darker period in his life, was helped significantly and crucially by the Hare Krishna yoga process and by the Hare Krishna devotees. She made a donation and received a Hare Krishna book.
Today, on 22 December 2021, I revisited this shop and there was a male attendant. I told him the story.
I asked the question: “Did that statement refer to you.”
His answer was: “Yes, indeed!”
With his right hand, he reached into his cash register and without further talk he handed me a donation out of the ordinary. We had a good laugh, as would two transcendentalists out of danger.
This proves also that one should have a designated zone of distribution and cultivate it nicely and get to know one’s customers. In this way, although one has a mobile business, the result and benefit will be that one actually builds good will, which is a business asset.
