Finding the solutions to miseries
I met a man who at first turned down the Bhagavad-gita. But then we got talking, and it turned out that he was dying from cancer and searching for truth. So he ended up taking a Bhagavad-gita to find out what happens after death, and he also took a vegetarian cookbook, being interested in changing his diet. The most important thing is to connect with people's hearts, and usually at the core, people want to find solutions to life's miseries.
Another man welcomed me at his door and eagerly took a Bhagavad-gita. I was surprised, as he didn't look like the sort of person who is usually interested. He was old, living in a block of flats for retired people, but it turned out that his wife had died three weeks before and he wanted to go further spiritually. He had been married for sixty-one years.
