Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!
I want to congratulate and thank all the devotees that have worked so hard to please Srila Prabhupada by distributing his books throughout the world for this past year of 2003. After looking at the results of book distribution for 2003 in which we distributed 3,627,182 I compared these results with 2002 in which we distributed 2,710,231 and found that 916,951 more books were distributed in 2003 than in 2002. This is very auspicious, it shows that this book distribution is an ever increasing ocean of mercy and that we are getting more serious. We shouldn't however become complacent with such success, Srila Prabhupada's desire is that in every home there is a Krsna conscious literature, so we still have some work to do.
The more we give others the opportunity to hear about Krsna the more the atmosphere of the world becomes purified. So in this year of 2004 let's continue with greater enthusiasm to give this most valuable mercy in the form of Srila Prabhupada's books to the conditioned souls who are lost in the darkness of material sense gratification. Every one of these books are like torches that will help them get out of this darkness of Kali yuga and bring them to the devotional service to the Supreme Personality of Godhead Sri Krsna.
