Have a strong desire to distribute sets and Krsna helps
We arrived in Taupo New Zealand on Monday morning after a chilli night by the river. The streets were very quiet as expected on a freezing mid-winter Monday morning. I dutifully loaded the book trolly with two boxes full of books wondering who Mahaprabhu would send to take the mercy. I looked at the Bhagavatam set hesitating to add the weight to my stack of boxes. I thought to myself — let this be a burden of love and bring the set out on the street, after all miracles happened before; it can happen again.
Before I could grab the set, an older gentleman doing exercise in the park where we stopped the bus called out and said — “Is this the Hare Krsna bus?” I was taken by surprise because there were no markings on the bus to tell whether it was the Hare Krsnas. I guess the beautiful orange shade might have given it away.. who knows… I was even more surprised when he said he was looking for a Srimad Bhagavatam in his broken Sanskrit. He revealed that he received a Bhagavad Gita several years ago and praised Srila Prabhupada’s books. He continued to say that in the morning he heard a voice in his head that he needed to get Srimad Bhagavatam. Well here it was. I brought him over to the bus and presented the entire set. He had no doubt this was the intervention of a greater power — nothing happened by chance. The whole situation was extraordinary and brought shivers on my back. Everything is orchestrated by Krsna.
Later on that day I met him back at the bus for lunch, he took the entire set, paid cash and gave me all his contact details.
We’re never alone in Sankirtan, the supersoul is actively working in the hearts of those who are supposed to receive these books.
The first principle of set distribution is one needs to have a strong desire to do so and we take the Bhagavatam and showcase that to the world. And it’s simply wonderful how Krsna will reciprocate. Om Tat Sat .
