Indian Cricketer Shikhar Dhawan gets Srila Prabhupada Books
Indian Cricket Team's opening star batsman Shikhar Dhawan visited our temple and took darshan of Sri Radha Gopinath yesterday. He came just before Gaura Arati.
He made good donation twice and took a set of Srila Prabhupad's books – Bhagavad Gita, Krsna Book, Teachings of Lord Caitanya, SSR and SB 1.1. He was very down to earth and a pious person. He walked in to our temple as just another guest and Hamsa Prabhu greeted him with his trademark "Aap kaise hain?". He distributed books to him without even knowing that he was a celebrity:) He spoke to him about working without attachment to results and that we are not the body. Shikhar was very receptive and showed the tatoos of Arjuna and Shiva he had on his hand.
Shikhar later enquired if we have kirtans and asked which books should he start first to which Hamsa replied "SSR first, BG, SB and then TLC". He was also asking Hamsa how he came to Krsna Consciousness. Meanwhile his lil daughter had already started reading Krsna book going through the pictures:)
He attended Gaura Arati; took darshan of our most beautiful Sri Radha Gopinath and left a donation for the third time in the Hundi. He came with his family and kids and took prasad in the restaurant as well.
