Intimate Connection with the Supersoul
Once, at the L.A airport at Continental Airlines, Brigupati Prabhu and I were sitting in the airport seats, honoring prasadam as passengers walked by on the nearby isle way. At one point, an ordinary man passed, and Brigupati Prabhu stared at him for a long time. After this he turned to me and said, "Quickly! Go catch up to that guy over there! Sell him a Bhagavad Gita! He'll give you twenty dollars!"
Without washing my hands, I picked up a hardbound Gita and ran up to the man. I stopped him and made my usual presentation to him. Miraculously, he took out twenty dollars, gave it to me and walked off with the Bhagavad Gita. I was shocked. I walked back to Brigupati Prabhu, who was smiling confidently. We continued taking prasad.
Believe it or not, the same thing happened another time at United Airlines. It was the same scenario: we were taking our prasadam break, sitting near the isle way, having light conversation. Suddenly, with his mouth full, Brigupati Prabhu spotted a common looking man and told me the same thing, "That man over there will give you twenty dollars for a Bhagavad Gita." And sure enough, after I ran up to the man and showed him the book, he gave me twenty dollars and walked off with the Bhagavad Gita.
