Krsna Reciprocates
Lord Caitanya and Lord Nityananda appreciate even the smallest endeavor to spread their glories through Srila Prabhupada's books. Because of that, we have tried to distribute books for some years in Bulgaria.
We recently were sponsored by a senior devotee to visit Sri Vrindavan and Mayapur Dhama for three months. When we returned, our health was not good, and it took time to recover. Aand the few hundred euros that we had quickly diminished.
My wife, Padma Malini, was the first to recover and begin book distribution. It was a cultural shock for her, after being in the blissful atmospheres of Vrindavan and Mayapur, to again drop into such a materialistic society. After a few hours of hopeless endeavors to stop people, she was in complete despair. Just before the end, a young man took a book to look at it and immediately returned it.
Padma said, "But it's for Krishna!"
Then the man said, "OK, I will give a donation," and pulled out fifty euros.
Padma asked how much he want to donate, but the man said "Take it all!"
For Bulgaria, that is a lot of lakshmi. Many people work hard for a week or more to earn that much. Then Padma gave him six books (three SB and three other big books). And the man smiled and pulled out fifty more euros and went away very happy.
Krishna reciprocates!
