For the last few months I've been going out on Harinam on Saturday eves to 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica. It is very sweet and effective.
When I finished work at my karmi job one day a couple of weeks ago, I went to health food store to pick up some bhoga for family dinner. I was at the register getting ready to leave when a young man asked me, "Paper bag or plastic?" When I looked up to answer him, he burst out, "Hey, you're a Hare Krishna!!! My girlfriend and I have seen you on 3rd Street Promenade!!!" A little stunned I said, "Yes, I am a devotee, can I help you?" He then told me how much they loved the music and wished they could get some books, but they never seemed to have enough money and did I know how they could get some books. I replied, "Sure come to my car." They received Path of Perfection and Science of Self Realization.
