A letter His Holiness Bhakti Vikasa Swami sent to his disciples’ conference
Dear devotees, Please accept my best wishes and blessings. All glories to Srila Prabhupada, by whose mercy we all now have the chance to chant Hare Krishna.
The month of December marks the Srila Prabhupada book distribution marathon.
Throughout this month devotees throughout the world will be making special efforts to distribute more of Srila Prabhupada's books. Some will go out daily for long hours solely for this purpose. Others will make special efforts to do whatever book distribution they can.
There is no doubt that distributing Srila Prabhupada's books is all-auspicious. It is most pleasing to Srila Prabhupada, and therefore the book distributor gets closely linked to Srila Prabhupada as a recipient of his special mercy. Book distribution means to get the mercy and to distribute the mercy by bringing Krishna, in the form of Srila Prabhupada's books, to the conditioned souls. It is not an easy service; it requires much surrender to take it up and continue over the years. But it is most rewarding, as those who stick to it know.
Much more has been and will be said about book distribution, but my brief message right now to the members of this conference is: get ready for the marathon and do what you can to distribute Srila Prabhupada's books, at least throughout December. Krishna and the whole parampara will help and bless you.
