Love is the Power
During 21 year of sankirtana practice I understood that the most important thing in spiritual book distribution is your purity. The more you love God, the more spiritual vision you have to help people. Sankirtana is divine love and compassion. Nothing more. It does not have anything with material business. You can try, but nobody will take scriptures from your hands. Rather some of them will spit in your face, because they are demoniac or atheistic. Or see your real motive. And even more, they do not know Who Krishna is, so they don't want it. Running in passion everyone says "no". But if you desire more to link that person with Krishna and connect to his Paramatma (Supersoul in everyone's heart) then not understanding why the person will take. Actually with your spiritual presence you purify his illusion. The more pure you are in the heart the more you will purify the surrounding. People take you, not the scriptures. Therefore in the same place somebody might distribute one or any books and another book distributor will distribute hundreds of spiritual books. Inspired by you people will take the book or books, but most probably he will not read it immediately. Maybe after some time, but many things in the Bhagavad-gita he will not understand. Only rare souls will do. That's why the next time you inspire him to take more books and help him to understand scriptures by putting him in the devotees association. Devotees will surely help him.
