Sri Sri Radha-Rasbihari temple

A heartfelt prayer

Raj, from Pandav Sena in UK, is on sabbatical in Sri Sri Radha-Gopinath Temple, Chowpatty. He recalls an interesting incident . . .

Your Servant,

Murari Gupta das

One day I went to Sri Sri Radha-Rasbihari temple with my friends. There some devotees bought books to distribute on their way back in the train. I also bought some Tamil books to give to my parents in Sri Lanka. While returning, my friends started distributing books to their co-passengers.

"Why didn't you buy some books to distribute?" a friend chastised me.

I felt bad and began to pray to Sri Sri Radha-Rasbihariji: "Oh Lord! I really want to distribute your books. Help me to distribute at least one of them."

I started helping my friends with the distribution. When we reached Grant Road station we realized that we had boarded the fast train, which doesn't halt at our station. So we had to get down at the next stop and take the return train. During the return journey my friend had just one last book, which he showed to two men in front of us. They seemed interested and one of them took the book.

Then casually I asked the other, "Where do you stay?"

"Tamil Nadu," he replied.

"Hey, I have Tamil books;" I said, "would you like to see them?"

"Why not?" he said and took one "Science of Self-Realization" because he already had a "Bhagawad Gita" at home.

I learnt that book distribution is mostly about desire. If you have desire to distribute books and remain humble and prayerful, Lord Krishna helps you.
