Praying for sincere people
Yesterday, when we went out, for the first hour, no one even came close to the book table. I received a call from Paramananda Gopal, and in the course of our talk I requested him to say a prayer from New York (to Krishna) so that we could meet some sincere people here in the Bay area and connect them with Krishna.
After the call, we almost planned to pack the books and go to some other location or maybe go back.
At that time one person came to the table who works for SpaceX. He got all the books and gave a good donation. And then we met someone from Orrisa, who was doing his Phd. He took a Gita, saying that he always keeps a Gita.
An undergraduate student who is originally from Cuba came to the table and told us that he was watching a Srila Prabhupada documentary the previous night. He said that he used to practice chanting in Cuba. He said that he generally doesn't take this route, but today he took it, and that was the reason we met.
Some Indian families who were visiting the campus also got books. And a Sri Lankan lady who came out for a walk took a Gita, but had only a quarter to give. So she went home and came back with more money.
One girl was excited to get all the books, as she is doing research on meditation and was looking for material. Another girl who just started doing mediation was very happy to get books.
Overall, it was very satisfying experience, thanks to the prayers of Paramananda Gopal Prabhu.
Your servant,
Madhava Govinda Dasa
