OAuthException: (#10) Application does not have permission for this actionOn 19th October we reached Jodhpur. We were given accommodation at the local BACE (student hostel). In the evening Bhakti Raghava Maharaja spoke to the youth on the topic of Damodara Lila, and also about the importance of cows and how fortunate are the people of Rajasthan because they are living where the largest number of cows are being protected.
The next day morning being Sunday the local congregation organized Harinam in the early hours and distributed more than 20 Bhagavad-gitas and prasadam. At noontime, Maharaja gave the Sunday Feast lecture on Vedic culture and spoke on the importance of cows. In the evening we visited the land that devotees received as a donation to construct a new temple since their present location is rented.
On Monday night we headed to Jaisalmer to visit H.G. Bhakta Vatsala prabhu. On Wednesday morning Bhakti Raghava Maharaja spoke at the Adarsha Vidya Mandir where more than six hundred students attended and the talk on “Introduction to Vedic Culture” and on Bhagavad–gita.
After a couple of days, as planned earlier, we headed to Pathmeda, a historical place where five thousand years ago when LORD KRISHNA was at Dwaraka He wanted to associate with His cows and His cowherd men but could not invite them to Dwaraka. Therefore, Krishna, the cows and the cowherd men met at this place. Krishna was in ecstasy for three days and three nights by associating with His beloved cows. Now presently at this place they have the world’s largest goshala The Manager, Singh made all the necessary arrangements for our accommodation and prasadam. On Saturday at 6.30 am we attended Go Puja (elaborate worship of mother cow). At around 8 am the Manager took us on a tour of the goshala. He showed us different sections including the hospital, the wards, the ambulances and the operation theatre.
After having our breakfast, we headed to Nandagaon, located 70 kms from Pathmeda, where they have another goshala spread over one thousand acres. Sri Datta Sharan Ananda Maharaja is the main inspiration and guide for the whole project. In the afternoon, Bhakti Raghava Maharaja and the Pathmeda Maharaja had a meeting. After exchanging greetings Bhakti Raghava Maharaja discussed about the activities that are taken up by IDVM (ISKCON Daiva Varnasrama Ministry) and Pathmeda goshala. Later in the evening they again met to discuss on Varnasrama Dharma and different topics related to cows. During this meeting we met Rishi who is also closely connected with Pathmeda Maharaja and the Dhanvantari Veterinary College that is still in the beginning stages.
We were informed that there are more than 23 goshalas located in near by towns and villages that are also connected with Pathmeda. On Monday morning on the way back to Jaisalmer, we visited another goshala where Pathmeda keeps exclusively bulls and oxen, approximately 15,000.
