Some Nectar Stories from the Marathon.

Central train station, Sydney Australia

I was at central train station, Sydney Australia, and had just finished an exchange when amboy about 14 years old came up behind me and said "Excuse me sir, I've been watching you, do you mind if I give you some advice" I said "Sure, I need all the help I can get". "OK, lose the hat, lose the bag, stand up straight and alway's finish with a firm hand shake, I'm not racist but don't stop the Asian's because the're close minded, I noticed you don't stop many women, you should stop them because they are more likely to buy, but don't stop them with a compliment or they'll think you're coming on to them". It turn's out Emery's dad is a salesman and Emery came top in selling chocolate's for his local church. So I said to him "Why don't you show me how it's done?" and handed him an SSR. It turn's out he miss heard what I said, and said back, "You know, many people when they get book's they don't read them, but you know what? I'm going to read this one!" I said "Great, can you give a donation then?" He pulled out his wallet and gave $5 and walked away with the SSR.

At the same place on the last day of the marathon I was standing by my box drinking some water when a rough looking Mouri with long dreadlocks walked up to me, put his hand's together offered pranams and exclaimed "Hare Krishna!!, when I woke up this morning I was hoping that I would run in to one of you guy's." He pointed to the SSR on top of my box and said "That book there and the perfect escape are 2 of the best book's I've ever read, today my friend, I would like 2 perfect escapes 2 SSR's and a B.G. I said, "That's great, no worries." He pulled out his wallet and said, "Now I know the B.G.'s $28 right?" I said "Yeah, that sound's about right." So he pulled out $50 and said "Will that cover it, is that enough?" I said "Well if your feeling generous you can give a bit more." So he pulled out another $10 and gave it to me. So I put a K.B. in his hand as well. He was holding all the book's in his hand's and said "Now I've done my Christmas shopping for my boy." And walked away.
