Take this book, it will bring you great fortune!
Here at the Standard Bank National Arts Festival held in the city of Grahamstown, City of Saints, thousands of people from South Africa, and all over the world flock here for ten-days or so, in a "feeding-frenzy" of arts and culture. Part of the vibe and attraction are the exotic traders from Africa and other countries.
During this festival while distributing Srila Prabhupada's books I approached a Chinese trader selling Jackets and warm clothing. I showed him Srila Prabhupada's books. He said that he did not speak English, so he did not have any use for the book. "Oh do not worry abouth that my dear sir. You do not have to read the book. Just by keeping this book, in your home, in the cubby-hole of your car, or at your bedside table, this book will bring you great fortune," I said to him. I gave him a Perfect Questions to Perfect Answers. He looked at the book, as if interested. He said he would rather not. I took Srila Prabhupada's book, and put the book in one of the jackets that he was selling. "My dear sir, I will put this book here for you for some time. You will see how by keeping this book at your stall, you will have many people come and buy your goods." He gave me five rand and took the book. A few days later, he saw me, and with an excited tone in his voice called me over. "Look, look, someone has bought the jacket that you put the book in!
He bought Srila Prabhupada's book, although he had not read it, he had distributed it!
I can just imagine how suprised the person who bought the jacket will be, when he finds Srila Prabhupada's book in it!
