The books gently find their way into people's lives.

Although a friendly owner initially agreed to a try-out period of three months, now it is a little over a year since we put a Smart Box on the counter of his Indian vegetarian restaurant here in Antwerp, Belgium.

Once a week we go there to see whether any books need to be restocked, and we collect the money for those that were sold.

In the past fourteen months the Smart Box distributed close to sixty Bhagavad-gitas and more than three hundred small books. There's a selection of English, Dutch and occasionally French titles.

In the meantime, we put another eight Smart Boxes in other venues: a chips shop, some Indian grocery stores, a coffee shop, and a health food supermarket.

The books gently find their way into people's lives. It hardly ever happens that the books are simply taken without being paid for, though we are happy to do sastra dhana seva to those fortunate people who just take them. The Smart Box is financially self-sufficient.

It always feels like a victory to see that books have found their way out, and we are happy and thankful that we can be part of the happening.

Hare Krishna.
Your servants,
Dayal Nitai Dasa and Radhananda-devi Dasi
