The truck flipped three times . . .
I was distributing books at Western Kentucky University last week when I met a young man who became very excited when he saw the books I was distributing.
As I showed him the books, he kept remarking "No way, no way!" Then he said to me, "I have to tell you something, but I have to meet with a teacher really quick." So I gave him my number and he called me after ten minutes.
We met up again, and then he told me the story. He explained how he and his friends had been in a bad accident some months back. The F-250 truck that they were traveling in flipped three times, and after they escaped, the vehicle blew up in flames.
When he went to the car yard to check out the wreck, he found that everything inside the vehicle was totally destroyed in the fire. Then he looked in the front of his vehicle, and noticed a book was sitting on his passenger seat. The book was "The Science of Self Realizion". It was the only item in the vehicle that wasn't destroyed.
He explained that earlier his friend had gifted him this book, but he had no idea that it was in the car with him. This series of events inspired him to begin reading the book, and he was finding it to be interesting.
I then offered him a Bhagavad Gita, and he eagerly agreed and gave a donation.
After these events I was reflecting on how powerful and transcendental Prabhupada's words are. These literatures are living, and are on a mission to benefit all mankind.
Sankirtana yajna, ki jaya!
