Thirteenth Padyatra Winds through Slovenia
We just successfuly completed this year’s padayatra. It was our thirteenth. It lasted eighteen blissful days: chanting, dancing, feasting, and serving all the time. Full samadhi! We distributed books, the holy names, and prasada cookies.
About thirty participated full time, and the highest peak of devotees was fifty-seven.
People in general appreciated the padayatra very much. Their responses were quite positive:
‘Please continue with this work.’
‘Thank you for visiting our town.’
‘You enliven our towns and lives.’
‘You are nicely dressed and peaceful.’
‘You all look happy.’
‘Your chanting is attractive.’
‘This is the first time we’ve seen something like this.’
For the pleasure of Hari, guru and the Vaisnavas we distributed 1,871 of Srila Prabhupada’s transcendental books. The best day: 157 books. The average came to 104 books per day – almost 108!
We also distributed many thousands of pamphlets, many more pieces of prasada, and unlimited holy names.
A short sankirtan story: Narayana, Jyotirmaya Prabhu’s ten-year-old son, who stays with his parents on padayatra full time every year, one day so enthusiasticaly distributed Srila Prabhupada’s books that when he approached a gentleman, the man was so impressed with the small boy that he ran into his house and came back with fifty euros. And then he said, “My sweet boy, here you have fifty euros.” After that he happily took Srila Prabhupada’s books from Narayana.
Param vijayate sri krsna sankirtanam!
Your servant of the servant,
