Transcendental blitz book distribution

Recently, while I was in Kathmandu, there was a small Srila Prabhupada festival.

Present for this festival were some devotees who were instrumental in spreading Krsna consciousness in Nepal: Mahavishnu Swami, Dadhi Bhaksa Prabhu, and Hamsagati Prabhu.

They spoke about Srila Prabhupada and how Krsna consciousness spread in Nepal.

Dadhi Baksa Prabhu is the only disciple of Srila Prabhupada from Nepal. So, naturally, hearing from him about his exchanges with Srila Prabhupada endeared him to the local devotees.

Hamsagati Prabhu is from America, but he was preaching in Nepal from 1978-88. He was a pioneer in spreading Krsna consciousness in Nepal.

Mahavishnu Swami spoke a little about Srila Prabhupada and then decided to distribute books to the devotees. In one hour he signed and distributed 81 maha-big books!

A couple of days later I was in Pokhara, a bit northwest of Kathmandu.

I was invited to give the Saturday feast lecture. (Saturday is the main day off for the Nepalese, not Sunday)

I spoke on Bhagavad-gita, and being inspired by Mahavishnu Swami, I also distribute books to the devotees attending.

By Krsna's mercy, almost 40 maha-big books were distributed — the most I've ever done in an hour. It was pretty sweet.

Maybe I will check with Mahavisnu Swami to see what his record for one hour is. This could become another form of competition on book distribution.
