Very Interesting Praphupada Quote & Samadhi Lila
The word ätma-bhävita also indicates that a devotee is always engaged in preaching to deliver conditioned souls. It is said of the six Gosvämés: nänä-sästra-vicäranaika-nipunau sad-dharma-samsthäpakau lokänà hita-kärinau. A pure devotee of the Supreme Personality of Godhead is always thinking of how fallen, conditioned souls can be delivered. The Supreme Personality of Godhead, influenced by the merciful devotees' attempt to deliver fallen souls, enlightens the people in general from within by His causeless mercy. If a devotee is blessed by another devotee, he becomes free from karma-kända and jïäna-kända activities. As confirmed in Brahma-samhitä, vedesu durlabham: the Supreme Personality of Godhead cannot be realized through karma-käëòa and jïäna-käëòa. Adurlabham ätma-bhaktau: the Lord is realized only by a sincere devotee. SB 4.29.46.
I just heard this story from a sankirtana devotee in Radhadesh. A couple of sankirtan devotees were on traveling sankirtana while they were sleeping in there van a couple of policemen came and knocked on the door. One of the devotees opened the door to find two policemen, One of the policemen asked a question which the devotee ignored and instead showed the books to them and explained how wonderful they were and that he would benefit so much if he gave a donation and took the books. Which they did.
This is an amazing example of someone completely absorbed in preaching, right after waking up at !:30 AM he distributes books to two policemen, this is samadhi.
