Youngest Sankirtan Devotee
The French yatra has an extraordinary sankirtana devotee: a toddler, Sangita, who distributes books on her pram, probably the youngest and cutest book distributor in ISKCON.
Less than two years old, Sangita started distributing books when she was barely a year old, imitating the elders while on her pram during sankirtana. During the past Christmas marathon she sold a book to a Chinese kid, and the kid’s mom gladly gave a donation.
She accompanies her parents, Temple President Locananda Das and Gandharvika Rai Devi Dasi, on harinam sankirtana regularly, even during the winter and always tries to distribute books.
Lately, she started walking and was on the streets of London with books, holding her mama’s hand. It is a cuteness overload to see a sankirtana devotee in diapers distributing Lord Chaitanya’s mercy.
Her grandfather is the TP of the Paris temple, and she is a third-generation ISKCONite.
When she could barely speak, she would say “Prabhupada” all the time and always recognizes Srila Prabhupada’s voice. She comes every morning for mangal arati and does dandavats to Srila Prabhupada’s murti.
